Housing Advocacy
The Palo Alto Housing Corporation (PAHC)
was created because of the tremendous need for affordable
housing. Our work in the housing field has
served to document
that need. Because the demand for affordable housing continues
to exceed the supply in our community, our role includes housing
advocacy.PAHC maintains a constant vigilance over the development of public policy that impacts opportunities for affordable housing. We support local government by providing input to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan, general rental housing issues, and other matters that could impact housing resources. These include questions of land use, density, and costs. We communicate with individuals and organizations on the state and national levels to change housing financing programs and services, and speak for housing issues and opportunity with knowledge, expertise, and conviction. |
